LPSC welcomes membership enquiries from anyone interested in participating in practical rifle / service rifle or gallery rifle shooting

 

In all cases probationary membership will be awarded at the sole discretion of the LPSC Chairman and Committee and is subject to the satisfactory completion of an application form. Anyone completely new to shooting may be asked to provide two independent character references before they can start their Probationary Membership (full members of another Home Office approved club will be asked to provide a reference from your Club Secretary).

 

If you wish to apply to join LPSC please contact the Membership Secretary via email using the ‘Membership Enquiry’ button below and provide the following information:

 

• Full Name,  Address and Post Code

• Telephone Number (day and evening)

• Brief details of your shooting experience if any, (if applicable, please include details of any Home Office approved Shooting Clubs you belong to and the contact number and/or address of the Club Secretary)

 

Please note that you will be asked to make the following legal declaration as part of the LPSC application process:-  'I am not prohibited from possessing a firearm or ammunition by virtue of section 21 of the 1968 Firearms Act (amended)' and I have never had an application for a firearm or shotgun certificate refused by the police or revoked' (note that persons who have served a term of imprisonment may be unable to make this declaration). LPSC is a Home Office Approved Club and as such we must inform the Police of every application for membership, giving the applicants name, address and outcome of the application.  

 

Furthermore, prospective members should be aware that they must obtain permission from the LPSC Membership Secretary before attending an LPSC shooting day and a minimum of 48hours notice is required in order to make the necessary arrangements

 

Depending on your level of experience you may be required to attend a training course which will also include the safety assessments necessary to allow you to shoot on MoD ranges.Fees for this training course will be charged at cost.
